Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-04
This Privacy Policy describes how DindigulJobs ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use the DindigulJobs website (dindiguljobs.com), our mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, both of India.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, mobile phone number, and password (stored as a one-way hash) when you register.
- Profile information — biographical details, location, education, work experience, skills, and uploaded resume documents that you choose to add.
- Application data — records of jobs you apply to, employers you favourite, and messages you send.
- Device + log data — IP address, device identifiers, browser type, and timestamps for each request, used for security and anti-abuse.
- Cookies + similar technologies — to keep you logged in and to remember preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features will stop working.
2. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account, including authenticating you when you log in.
- To match candidates with employers and surface relevant job listings.
- To send transactional notifications (registration confirmation, application status, employer replies). You cannot opt out of these because they are essential to the Service.
- To investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Use.
- To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
3. How we share your information
- With employers you apply to — your profile, education, experience, skills, and resume become visible to that employer once you submit an application.
- With service providers — payment processors, mail / SMS providers, and hosting infrastructure that process data strictly on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- For legal reasons — when required by Indian law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete personal data within 30 days, except records we are required to retain by law (financial and tax records, typically 7 years).
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS for data in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls on internal systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account
- Withdraw consent for any processing that relies on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India
Email privacy@dindiguljobs.com to exercise any of these rights.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect.
